Default Maxamps Hyperion Charger HELP???

I just got this charger and lipo package deal [link=http://www.maxamps.com/VXLRTRKIT.htm]Hyperion lipo package[/link]
and I am having trouble understanding the instructions to charge the 5000mah battery.

The battery warning sheet from Maxamps says to charge the battery at 1C.

so on the charger, do I intially set the value for C=1500mah or less....or do I set it for 5000mah???

the rest I have set to 3S on lipo charge

Set it at 5000mah and charge the pack at 5A. 5A is 1C for a 5000mah pack! That looks like a nice charger. I currently use a Hyperion EOS1210i and two LBA10 blancers and have been very happy with the setup. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Hyperion chargers!

Charge that sucker up and have some fun!

Default RE: Maxamps Hyperion Charger HELP???

is it normally slow to charge a 5000mah lipo?
when I initially began the charge, the battery had like 10v still and its been on charger for like 45 minutes.
what does the 11.1v lipo max out at in voltage when it is done charging???

EDIT:
after 70 minutes, it ended with at 12.6volts with around 4550mah.....is that normal??

A well balanced 3S LiPo will be fully charged at 12.6 volts. Should take an hour or a little over an hour to charge at 5 amps.
