Default NEED MAJOR HELP!!

Batteries arrived today but I have a slight problem.
The saddle wire is a tad too short, and even that, just look at the pic...
Guess I'm not racing this weekend even though I really wanted to....[]
All 4 batteries are this way, and dont feel like sended them all the way back either...
Could I just add a bit of wire to the saddle wire...[&:]

I tried unsoldering the wire on one of them, but the wire is soldered pretty darn good.
It wont come off!! Can I Add a bit of wire to all 4 packs like in the center of the saddle wire then shrink tube it?[&:]
I'm kinda afraid to cut the wire though.....dont want to get shocked.....[]

as long as you cut one at a time you will have no problems, and when one is done, tape it up, then you can work on the next safely.. if its for short term, i'd solder a bit extra on, then when you have more time, do a proper job of it.

I'd just cut the center wire and make it longer!! Your soldering iron does not seem to be up to the task (from your previous attempt to build your own pack) so I'd say don't try to unsolder the wires from the pack risking blow up the cells..

No need to insult our intelligence with the all caps lock speech. What is the wattage on your soldering iron, you need a nice hot high watt iron for pack building. I use a 70watt iron for my pack building, you could just add a little bit of wire but it would be best if you just replace the whole wire with a longer one.

LB I did try that ON ONE PACK, but not for 3 secs and the wire would not budge...so I just left it as it is...
Can I cut the saddle wire safely without risking the pack....with my wire cutters....

remove top deck and install battery ! or solder in a single connector like on the motor . you can't have the wire any longer or it will cause heat to build in the wire. wire was not mean to be long

You can cut the wire safely as the other side (Dean plug) is open...

i agree with ASYSTEMERROR as you could remove the top deck and put it over the driveshaft, only problem will be that its a pain to remove everytime.

Does it have to be a dean connector or can it be those motor connecters they put on RTR cars.

you can use the bullet connectors like are used for motors.
that might give you enough extra length.
or you can lengthen the wire a bit by cutting it and splicing it.
be sure to use at least the same gauge wire that's there now.
1/2 inch or so extra won't hurt as long as you have a good mechanical connection and solder it well
if you're worried use one size larger wire
be sure to use heat shrink on any exposed wires

Mike from www.cheapbattery packs.com said that I just need to do it myself.
And the next order, order a longer wire size.

wow, thats pretty mean, they're not kidding when they say cheap, and what does he say larger wire size, they dont ask you how long it has to be. can you add it in the additional instructions?

The wire is soldered near the inside of the car for both packs, but the heatshrink is holding it to the outside of the car on the left pack. Couldn't you just cut the heatshrink on the left pack?

Sheesh, all you have to do it cut the wire in the middle, solder on about an inch of the same gauge wire, and heat shrink it! Cutting the wire won't short anything out, just don't touch it to something so the pack grounds or hits the same polarity. If the pack is shrinked, then I wouldn't even worry...

There, no problems, and 1 inch of wire will do nothing it's not like you are in a high comp level. If it's 12 or even 14 gauge that 1 inch won't matter...

Yeah, I fixed one pack with the small black wire. Got 30 mins of runtime running 60% throttle.
I dunno if it was exactly 30 mins but it did feel like it.[8D]
