Default My track experience with the B44 FT

Went to reo last night, and had to wait about an hour(nitro's had to finish racing) before I ran the B44, but the wait was worth it.
Cleared all the jumps at 60% throttle, and looks like when I race it next week I'll have 2 XXX-4's to race with.
Hopefully they will but all 3 of us in the same class, because the 2WD Stadium truck guys wont even pose a challege.
Had a BIG electric turnout last night. 9 at least so that makes it 10 counting me next week.
Most of then ran the mamba brushless systems. I might get stomped.....or win....I'll be sure to give them a run for the money.
I did a super back flip with the B44, and hit the wall....I was like Oh man......nothing broke at all, but the stock $1 antennna tube.

Yeah, 7 people ran T4's. 2 people ran the XXX-4 Losi buggy. So If I get beat by the T4's then so be it.
Associated got beat by an Associated.

why is that bad? You could make the b44 look like a t4 by putting st tires all around and mounting up a stock t4 body!

no st is gonna push you off the track, you technically have twice as much foreward bite, so you should have them beat off the starting line.

Thier probably gonna be wreaking all the time...with the 7700Kv mamba..
I saw alot of crashes....spyed on the last race and most couldnt handle the power.
I'll be using a Novak 7.5R 5800Kv motor....
I'm just afraid one of them will hit me hard enough to damage my car.[&o]

Seriously anyone who uses the 7700KV motor for off-road isn't going to be a real threat. You will beat those guys easily just by driving consistently and minimizing any goof-ups. The guys you have to worry about are the ones who know what they are doing. If it's a real track you rarely need anything more than a 5800KV motor and often less.

There was also a few people running 9T mod motors in the T4, and they had better laps than the mamba T4's.

its always funyn to me with the mambas 7700s. that motor has many times made people misunderstand mambas period. On offroad you rarely ever need more then the 5700 and even that i dial it all the way down.

Honestly you shoudl have np with a brush motor. Ive got peopel starting out at our track on 4 wheel that look at me wierd when I tell em to pratice with a 27 turn stock motor and modify it with some ball bearings. THey think how they will be so slow reply is always same to them. If you want ill race with that next time. So far none of em take me up on that because i think they know the results. I think this next race im goign go with a stock 27 turn to make a point=)

Most brushed motor are just as fast if not faster than a brushless.
I got the good brushless combo for racing that your supposed to have.

Went to the Wed Night practice. And guess what me and the XXX-4 guys were on the track...
One of them had a dirt oval body on it.....didnt see him in time and nailed him head-on....
Put just a very small scratch on my B44, his XXX-4 had a broken shock tower and A-arm...
I told the guy I was sorry, but I could tell he was pissed off at me....[&o]

i agree off road racing 15-27 turns is plenty any more and ur gonna be spining tires and spending most of your time on your bak lol i use my 9t mod motors for show speed only long straight shots of speed if i try to do any turns with the hot motors at full speed its cartwheel time

If you can survive a head-on collision like I had last night, then you know the buggy is just so awesome!
.....................If you can handle the speed that is...
