Someone needs to write up a report on how to care for ni-hm's, and what to do in certain situations.

There's already a battery and chargers forum on RCU. You can get answers to most of your quesions there. If a sticky were to go anywhere that would be the place.
Also, if any one is really intrested in learning about batteries and chargers then this site is a wealth of information.
