Default Nice 15t-19t motors

I need two motors for my 4x4 Rustler. Since one motor will have to spin in reverse they must have adjustable timing and I would like them to be completely rebuildable as well. I don't have a motor lathe so minimum maintenance is what im going for. As long as I can get 35mph+ out of this on 6 cells I'm happy. Budget is around $45 for each but I am willing to pay more for quality. I stopped keeping up to date on motors when angled brushes came out so I am somewhat lost here.

I like the Team Orion Formula SV2 Pro BB motors. They can be rebuilt and have adjustable timing. The brushes last forever due to the their angled design. Two thumbs up, in my book!

unless you don't want to spend $130 on two electric motors.

The Orion puts out almost twice as many watts as the Trinity.

I'm not looking for all out race motors because I will be running two motors on one pack, and I would like my batteries to last longer than 2 runs.

the trinity specs are at 5.0 volts.

The orion ones are at 7.2.

The trinity motor will have just as much rpm, and a little more torque.b

best 19t motors out now are the 2007 team orion element, and team checkpoint money motor, both should give you good top end and alot of torque.

If you say so, either way its way over the budget as stated in the first post.

The checkpoint and orion elements look nice but they seem to be top end motors racing motors. I am looking for something to bash with, and as there are two motors they don't have to have a lot of power. Minimum maintenance and keeping the batteries alive is the biggest goal.

Only problem is that the brushes only last about 20-30 runs, and then the comm needs be the cut one time in between. The 15t Orions are the best bet...

I ended up going with twin LRP V10 Spec4 19 Turn Doubles that I got today because its what my LHS has and I wanted to get it running by Christmas. At 0 degrees timing and a 6 cell pack with 18/81 gearing everything runs at nearly ambient temperature. The only thing worth temping was the battery (GP 3300) and even that only got to 107 degrees. It really hauls and it will go over anything now. I just need to work out a few small bugs, tidy all the wiring, buy a body and it will be finished
