WHAT is THIS??? HELP!!!!
I am not new to RC cars and though I tend to think know a lot of the how too's I can say that I don't know my brands. This is 1/10 scale Stadium style and on the battery brace it has the initials MRC. It had a mechanical Speed Control Unit on it when I got it and no body to get reference from. No other markings or symbols to help with identifying the make. I received this in a take all trade and have shipped to a fellow RC enthusiast who doesn't have the funds to buy much so I gave it to him but I want to see if I can help him by finding if we can get parts for the thing but to do so I need to know what it is.
Please, any ideas are only going to help. If you have one like it let me know if you want to part with it. (for CHEEP)
Heres the Pics:

The guy I am sending it to is going to be pleased. I am glad it has potential.
Does anyone have any opinions on the truck; is it a good racer, basher, jumper, ????

RE: WHAT is THIS??? HELP!!!!
That's an ironman, and I know because I own one. It's pretty darn tough; it could be great on a local track if you cut out some of the necessary plastic and braces. I'd suggest putting some TRF DT-03 shocks on it as well; and the battery tray is somewhat small and cramped. IMO it's a bit of a nose diver on jumping, but then again it has that huge plastic brace on the front, it doesn't look like it needs it.
I don't really run mine anymore as parts are somewhat hard to come by; though I seem to see rollers going for 20-50 bucks a lot on different sites.

Keep the information coming, I appreciate all the help. This information will help when it comes to what to do when getting the truck up and running. It is a MRC IRON-MAN, I know this from this thread so thanks. It is just like the picture from "CustomTamiyas4Life" except for the tires are different.
YEA!!!!!!!!! Welcome IHOR!!!!! I couldn't have picked a more perfect guy to give it to. I is good to see you here at RCU the best RC site on earth..
Keep the comments and information coming. ie: What is good setup and what about the MSC (Mechanical Speed Control) V's an ESC? I would think that ESC is the better way to go.

But although they are plastic they are oil and hold up much better than the traxxas shocks.
