Default would a cooling fan help on the mm

I was wondering if a cooling fan on the esc would help the temp. I have been hearing a lot of complaints about overheating with a 7700kv motor. PLEASE HELP. []

yeah it wont hurt it but my MM does fine with the 7700, and dont forget the 8xl I used to put through it to. Now I run a 10xl on a daily basis and it has never had heat problems.

A cooling fan helps a lot. You can also put holes in the MM case. The MM in my 1/8 buggy runs very cool on 4s.

The 30mm clear novak GTB fan fits perfectly over the MM heatsink. It lowered my temps about 20 degrees.

I run the 25mm novak fans and you can get 4 screws into the heat sink with that one. I also noticed a substantial reduction in temps. With the 7700 if you dont gear it way way down it does get hot especially if you are using it in a truck.

your better off getting a lower kv and gearing up to cut down on temps but a fan will help.

A simple $5 cpu fan on my MM esc helped to bring the temps down by almost 20'F in summer heat. You can too!
