Motor / ESC for Tamiya Hotshot
Hello. I built my Tamiya Hotshot 2007 re-re and want to put a better motor / ESC in it. I don't think the technology of this 1985 buggy can withstand anythhing crazy-fast like a Mamba Max, so I want something that would be very fast, but realistic. It doesn't have to be brushless. I want to stay in the $100 - $125 price range for the motor and ESC.
Any suggestions?
thanks.

How about a little bit more and get a Novak XBR 8.5 setup?! Spend another $30-40, but then you don't have to worry about motor maintenance!!

I have a Novak XBR in my Tamiya DF02. It is not crazy the way an Mamba Max would be. But it is still very fast. Perhaps the Novak XBR 10?
The Novak setup is very smooth, has good power and at the price is very good value money!
