hi there i have the raven st truck it's a really good truck. you should put in a PEAK RACING DYNASTY 07 19 SPEC motor and for the battery should get a venom 4600 nimh or smc 4200 nimh. not a drx battery with deans . and when you get any motor you should put deans on the motor and battery. it will help alot.

I gave one of these to my 4 year old a little while back. Picked it up for $150 and didn't think I was going to take what it did. So far I haven't been able to find metal gears and wanted to know if anyone knew where to get some. No grease in the tranny is crap. Took a few runs before I found out, everything still looks great besides being plastic.

this is my other option as opposed to a dark impact. Im looking for a very cheap vehicle to bash around teh yard and to let me neice play with. She is 4 haha. This appears to be my best bet aside from the tranny issue, I feel as though i could probably find a way to either fit a better tranny in, or find a gear set that fits in this tranny.

I have had no luck finding any stronger diff that will fit without extreme engineering.

My son ran his Raven under a moving vehicle and broke both front and rear shock supports. Other than the diff problems, this is the only major issue we have had. Still an amazingly tough truck for the price.

I know there are not too many out there, but someone PLEASE make an upgraded diff!!

Just FYI, here are all the upgrades I can locate:

Servo Top Brace, Aluminum SWK5164
C-Hub Set, Aluminum SWK5152
Rear Hub Set, Aluminum SWK5154
Heavy Duty Linkage Set SWK5170
Steering Block Set, Aluminum SWK5150
Front Shock Tower, Aluminum SWK5160
Front A-Arms, Aluminum SWK5156
Tranny Brace, Aluminum SWK5168
CV Driveshafts SWK5172
Rear A-Arms, Aluminum SWK5158

anyone found a diff yet?

Im keen to fit a CC sidewinder setup in myn but after melting too many gears already with a ready 13t motor i dont think they will last long with a CC setup

also what parts can be used on the BX from the ST. I own a ST and been thinking of getting a BX(on sale at my LHS)

I was talking to the guys at my lhs and they were saying the fault with the raven diff was the BB holders that sit in the diff casing that holds the baring in place, were put in the wrong way giving slack and causing the diff gears not to mesh 100% and just strip.

also what pitch is the pinon and what size should i use with a CC5700kv setup use for bashing

I Just purchased one of these, Nice buggy but the diff is surely the weak point. Earlier in the posts someone said a stealth tranny would fit with minor mods. Another said the lhs said losi......I almost tend to believe that and am looking into various losi diffs becouse i have the mayhem and turmoil and many losi parts fit these, and are both dist by horizon hobby, so it makes sense. If anyone has tried this already please post your findings, otherwise I will check losi diffs and post what I come up with. thanks.
