i was wondering if these a arms for the traxxas rustler were better than the stock ones. Will they hold up better.

They sure look better.

Also is the traxxas wheelie bar upgraded wheels worth it. I was just wondering. They are pretty pricey but do they make any difference.

Yes there old rims are brittle. The new ones that came out about 1 year ago are extremely durable.

the arms are great. I wouldn't get the blue though, i made that mistake when i got arms for my maxx. The blue is way too bright. Get the black.

To bright...[sm=tired.gif] Wow that has to be they lamest excuse ever on why not to get the blue a-arms. The blue material is not only lighter than the black by a little bit it is a little bit more abuse tolerant from what I've heard.

?

I don't think that there will be much of a difference in how the dye affects the plastic.

The whole point to not buy the blue ones or the black ones is just that. They made two colors so you could choose which one you want.

i think rpm would have something on their website if that was true.

Does what you said mean that the purple color is as light as graphite and as strong as steel?

I just installed the black rear a-arms on my stampede. So far they look great and are working great! Personally, I wouldn't upgrade to them. I would stay with stock until they broke then get the RPM arms. Thats what I did. Now I feel good that I got my use out of the old ones. IMO they look a lot better then stock.

They are a great upgrade if you want to have a competitive rusty or stampede at the track, because total, they are about half the weight of the stock arms.

Don't forget!

They make shock towers too!

I think they look real sweet. Kinda like the machined alloy ones you see on 1/8 machines.

Rpm needs to start making chassis! [8D]
I bet those would be very popular. Or extended front a-arms!

what is the use of the shock tower made by rpm. It dosent look that muc cooler and it is in the same black tone? Is IT WORTH IT.

As I said earlier, the only reason I replaced my rear arms was because my old one broke. The RPM parts will shave off someway, but from a bashers point of view, I could care less. Upgrade when it's broken!

The shock tower IMO is a waste. But it does look a little cooler.

Really, about the a-arms. There are so many things to upgrade on your stampede. Shocks, batteries, tires, rims, tons of stuff. I don't think the arms are one of them unless every ounce counts (for racing).

It's not a waste unless you keep on breaking shock towers for some strange reason.

Do you mean it's not a waste if you keep breaking shock towers? The reason I said it was a waste is because I have never broken a shock tower. When that day comes, I will not be replacing it with stock, but a RPM one. But there is no reason to spend the money when I have a perfectly good stock one. Or for that matter, anyone else.

i only use my rustler for racing up and down the street. I sometimes use it dirt with small jumps/hills though. I wanted the a arms because they look cool in blue. It would be nice to have a backup anyway.

If you have the money, go for it. It never hurts to have spares...[8D]

for the traxxas wheelie bar is it worth getting the rubber wheels instead of the plastic stock ones.

I think it's a waste but thats just me. They might roll better, but if there is nothing wrong with the old ones, why get the new ones?

I didn't get them because I think it was a waste of money. The tiny plastic wheels that come with it are too small in my opinion, so what I did was put some Du-bro 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 inch (can't remember which) treaded airplane wheels I had, along with some 3x30mm hardened steel screws. Works great, and only costed like $5. Plus, when the wheels get damaged or scratched, they won't look terrible, unlike the anodized aluminum ones.

As for RPM, I recently upgraded everything on my Pede to RPM. Front and rear shock towers, castor blocks, arms, and I replaced my worn RPM bearing carriers with new ones. I never actually broke a shock tower, but my rear one was worn, so I replaced it, and I replaced the front shock tower because my WidePede mod involves screwing in some 3x30mm screws to secure the shocks, washers, spacers, and a brace onto, and the RPM front shock tower is more rigid, yet still flexible, compared to the OEM one.
