Is 60amps the max deans can take?
I need something that can handle a 5s li-po pack that puts out 300 amp bursts.
What plug should I use? I saw some Venom 5.5mm bullets that look pretty good.
I use deans on everything I have now but I dont know if they can handle the 5s li-po

If your going to choose a plug, I would take deans over Traxxas. Sure people say the Traxxas plugs are easier to work with, but I have small fingers and would rather have the looks of deans.
Yeah, they should be arround 60 amps.

The 60 amp rating on the deans, is constant. I have pulled at least 120amps in a 5s config with deans, in short bursts. if traxxas uses their connector on an esc that pulls 200 anp max rating, it should be good for almost anything

Try finding it on Molex, if you can it'll tell the current rating.

Ive heard deans are good up to 200a-250a.
(the fuse rating is the point at which the heat caused by the resistance of the conductor causes the conductor to melt)
And as anybody that has ever had to pry a Tamiya connector apart knows: the plastic will melt long before the actual conductor does.

No, that is the fuse rating
