I still like the sensored feel the most! But the sensorless are getting better, though!!
Anyway, you just got to do your own research and make your own judgement.. and talk to people who's used them all, etc.
If you only listen to the fan boys.. you will get one sided answer..
Like if you ask me if you should buy a Tamiya......

The Sidewinder is a great deal, but if you are planning on running 6-cell NimH batteries, the XBR is a great system.I have no complaints with mine. It has plenty of power for casual bashing and there is no cogging at all.

i'm gonna use a sidewinder and traxxas 3800 brushless setup, so i can gear it high instead of the castle creations 7700kv and gearing it low.

what about the losi excelorin?i like the fact it has a fan?where can i get one of those systems at?and whats the going price for it?also the sidewinder does not come with the castle link but if i buy one can i run without it till i get the link?like is there a preset "map" so to speak and then i can tweak it lateror does it have to be setup before you can use it?

Most of the castle stuff can be configured using the throttle on the transmitter but it can be time consuming and not all the settings / precision is always avaliable.
