Hello all, need some advice on another good fun basher. I currently have a LST2, RC18MT, AX10 Scorpion, and a Micro-t. The wife drives my RC18 when we go play, so I need something. Was thinking either Losi xxxt or xxx-4. Or Mini Monster Baja. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Only thing I worry about with the 1/10 scale is run time. Don't wanna only get 5 mins out of a charge. Thanks for any help!

The evader ext is a good choice. Its not the fastest thing alive but its a very solid truck, and it only costs $119 (or $99 on some websites). I have one, and stock I am getting 20+ min. run times off a 3300mah battery.

nice easy build, fully upgradable, tough drivetrain, can only be geared for about a 12 turn but the best is a mamba 4600 and some four inch truck tires geared as low as possible, like the 4wd stampede I always wanted lol.

Evader EXT IMO is the best bang for your buck out there right now. It also leaves the brushless option open. Great truck, and supposidly very durable. (I've never owned an Evader)

Traxxas Stampede! It's my assault vehicle of choice! I get about 15-20 minutes of runtime with my Mamba Max 5700 and a 3600 mah battery.

Of course, I modded it a little.[sm=biggrin.gif]

So general consensus is a 1/10 scale. I have a mamba max and good radio gear, that I can swap between my crawler and new one, so not worried about rtr. I don't want to go cheap though, looking for a good quality vehicle. Thanks again.

I think 1/10 scale is the perfect bashing size. 1/18 is too small and 1/8 gets too expensive.
The Stampede is a quality vehicle. It all depends on what you want. You want durable, but not as fast and racy? Get a Stampede or Rustler. You want fast and racy, but less durable? Get a XXX-T or RC10T4. The HPI E-Firestorm seems like a nice option too. I like my Traxxas vehicles because they are super easy to find parts for, if and when I break something. That's rare though.

What kind of cost window are you looking at? That might make things a bit easier for us to help.
You won't have to worry about runtime. I have a Superbrain 959 charger (entry level type) and even my Tenergy 3600 mah pack (my worst pack) gives 15 minute + runtimes.

Cost isn't really a big deal. Anywhere up to $350 for a kit or rtr. I also have a super brain 959. Wife's Rustler XL5 only gets about 5-10 mins off a 3500 nimh pack. Only reason I'm iffy on the 1/10.

You could go for a nice race-spec buggy, although that might be overkill for a basher. Maybe a B44?
If you are looking for more of a basher, look into Tamiya truck or buggy kits. The Traxxas RTRs are good, but I enjoy the build of a kit more.
