Now if they just release the body only.....PLUS LEDs! That would be fantastic.

Now, to wire this Proline lightbar to my TLU-02, I'm torn between using yellow LED or white.

I don't think 1:1 trucks use yellow too often on the lightbar, at least I don't see it that way too much.

Very nice Land Cruiser you have there. I'm also doing mine in red, as soon as I get some free time on the weekend.

What about a stronger servo saver? Stock Tamiya saver is pretty weak.

Yeah.. for my CR-01, I just run straight aluminum servo arm.. no saver...

I figured that my CR-01 is not going to be a basher.. not going to be jumping or going high speed and hit stuff..

Also, running metal geared servo gives me more confidence with that decision too.. !

Usually I run servo saver, this is the only RC that I have that does not have a saver.. here's my original post:

Speaking of which, I've taken a few tumble down the rocks with the wheels turned. Even got the wheels turning while wedged in the rocks and my wife has also run the CR-01 into a few things in the house at full speed and the servo with horn hasn't broken yet. Metal gears are pretty tough. Its a plastic horn though, that has a little give in a hard impact I guess.

My friend thought it was cool to try and make my CR-01 do wheelies on the carpet so he jammed it in forward and reverse over and over for like 10 minutes while I was wiring up the lights on the body and nothing broke then either.

Everything has been super tough over the past 6 months or so. The only broke part being a lower suspension link that the ball end stripped out of leaving me with a wobbly dangling axle on the trail

Ok I put the new steering horn on, ran it muck better. I very happy I only put a plastic steering horn on figure it might still flex instead of servo breaking. I had to space out servo with spacers supplied in kit and dremel a small amount off the servo mount all good a great mod.ps aint sprayed windows as yet still not sure what would look best.

Here's some new pics with the Proline rack and lightbar installed. Homemade bungees holding a spare wheel in there. Still haven't wired up the lightbar yet and no recent outdoor pics since its been 20 degrees or less here.

I bought a pack of black hair elastics and cut them so they are straight. I took paper clips and uncoiled them until just the inner bend was left (thats the hook of the bungee). The straight end of the paperclip I wrapped around a mini screwdriver shaft to make that tight coil you see. I had to then bend the hook of the clip up so its inline with the coil and not at a right angle to it. Then I knotted the ends of the hair elastic and slid it into the coil made on the paperclip. I snipped extra elastic off the end of the knot so it looks clean. Then I pinched the last coil of the clip so the knot cant slide back out of the paper clip when its stretched in place.

I can't take credit for the idea, I saw someone had done it on RCC so i gave it a shot. It was so fun to make I made like 6 of them even though only two are being used to hold the wheel in place!
