Default RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

I have been trying . I have been pooring money into the e-revo($130 cvd and they arnt even holding up that well) had to make a brace for the rear end to stop it from ripping off(still cant get the rear bulheads to hold up, or the diffs) (it cost $225 to get a set of diffs for the e-revo that come stock in the lst2) 1/10 scale diffs were not designed as strong as a 1/8th scale diff. I hope to get the e-revos durabilaty on par with the lst2(its a learing curve as its a new truck to me) The lst needs rpm arms(same as the erevo) and the hd losi diff cup and its golden! I also went with harden steel pinion gears for the clutch bell(as the electric motor will eat the aluminum ones on the first run) I like my e-revo, its a looker, turns heads, and handles great(once you get the suspensen setup right, the stock setup is way way to soft) I didnt have any issues until I went brushless and put bigger tires on it. The lst handled the brushless like a champ(like it was ment for it) The brushless ready e-revo needs some upgradeing to handle brushess

Now if I had a choice to go back to my lst2 for trade with my e-revo, I probably wouldnt do it. I have gotten used to the race car handleing and the single speed

Would it be a better deal to buy the regular e-revo and convert to brushless then to get the brushless version when it comes out? Are they going to beef up the brushless version some more.

Its alot cheaper to get the brshless version! It comes with the 2.4 radio(instead of the am) also comes with better driveshafts(like the new summits) and 17mm wheel hexes (instead of 14mm)

So all around the B.E.e-revo is a better deal

Look at Kershaw Designs single 700HO kit. Better than stock for when the stock titans fry.

everything on the E-revo is water RESISTANT, it will be fine driving in snow and puddles but i wouldn't dunk it completely under water. and yes that goes for the servo to. i think the servo are the most water PROOF electronic part on this truck. tower hobbies has the best price ive seen. and they usually have deals for like $20 off $150 or more. you can use this add number to get $20 off: 014E8
