Default discharger

is it really worth buying a discharger for 40 dollars to run an extra few minutes?if not i plan on saving my money.how much more time would it add to a nimh 4200.it kinda seems like a waste of time dicharging them when u can instead be charging them.

I was told that there is No memory in NiMh batteries and that a disccharger is not needed

Agreed. NiCD build memory and requires full discharging. NiMh does not.

It will also get more power out of the batteries and they could run longer (as in more cycles). nimh has a little memory i have heard. If you didnt need to discharge them, why do people have a high amp (30 amp) discharger then a Novak Smart tray to equalize them after every run?

if you race, a discharger is worthwhile to get every bit of performance out of your packs, but if you dont race, just run the truck till it slows noticably then recharge it, and have fun!
