You can get a RC10B3 basic kit for around 139.00 or so. You can also get the Losi XXX spec kit for around 150.00. Both of these can be had in either truck or buggy form.

If you already have the electronics for them you are set.

You can also get a Duratrax Evader BX with out the radio and I think motor for around 120.00 from Tower Hobbies (go to the off road kits section).

Traxxas makes a cheap buggy also for around 80.00 for the basic kit.

Hope this helps.

It's worth the money you paid for it. For only $17 it's a great bashing motor. If you plan on racing...that's a different story.

21.8 mph according to radio control car action magazine. They did a test on the Evader a while back and that's what the radar showed.

and for a cheap increase in speed (VERY noticeable), you can get away with a chameleon, which will proably be OK for yur ESC.

What would be the highest gearing w/o overgearing it? Aren't buggys supposed to be a lot faster than STs?

Stick with the stock gearing unless you are going to change the motor. If you want more speed go and pick of a new ESC and a Trinity Speed Gem motor. You can get an Mtroniks forward only ESC goot to 12 turns for around $35.00 - $40.00 and a Speed Gem for around $30.00 - $35.00. The Speed Gems run anywhere from 19 turns to 9 turns. Something in the 12-16 turn range will get the Evader screaming.

Buggys are a little faster than ST's, but not by a whole lot.

Basically less rolling resistance, less rotational mass on the tires and a little lighter weight.

i would suggest the st for bashing but if you want to race buggy then the bx but if you do get the bx i would HIGHLY suggest you to get the swaybar from duratrax to cut down on its flippin'
