Rebuilding LRP Brushless motor, sort of
This is about an LRP motor, 5.5 brushless, says VTEC on the end...
I messed up the soldering, shorted it out. I openned the end by the wires and noticed a couple surface mount components blew up. They have no markings on them so I have no idea what they were. I am guessing they were capacitors.
Does anybody have any info ont their specs? Perhaps a schematic so I make sure I put them on correctly.
Thanks!
Craig

I've tried that, the response I got from AE was "Sorry, LRP will not give us the value of the parts inside...if you want to have the speed control fixed you can send it to us to the attention of LRP Repair".
I then replied asking them how they are able to fix it if LRP does not give them the value of the parts. I have not receieved a response from them yet.

Well, presumably they send the parts to AE, if they are unmarked then AE may not know the values either. All they need to know is that to repair the motor they need to install XYZ parts, regardless of what they are or their capacity.
