I wouldn't spend the extra money on it. If you want performance, get one of these... http://www.promatchracing.com/proddetail.php?prod=7470

I would go with Energ 4600s matched packs. I have about 5 Promatch Energ 4600 platinum matched that I ran for 1 big race, probably about 6 runs on all of them, my brushed/nimh setup was pulling brushless/lipo setups on the straight. Anyway, come to think of them I dont use them anymore and shoot me a PM and we can work out a deal. From a poster's perspective and not a seller's perspective, you really wont notice a big difference between the normal matched and platinum matched packs, espeically with the VXL system. But if you want to save a few bucks (should be 40 a pack or so for mine) PM me.

I have three Trinity reference 6 cell stick packs. Mine are only 3600s, but they're very good. They were only $25 a pop too, from amainhobbies.com. Doing the math, I got more capacity for the dollar that way, and I don't mind changing it out every 20 minutes.

$60 is getting into LiPo territory IMO.

7 cells=8.4 volts. Those batteries are the BEST cells on the market, only the orion SHO 5300s can compare ($85 and only comes with 6 loose cells unsoldered). I am prety sure that the rustler VXL doesnt accept the side bars, because where the battery cover is is where one end bar is, so order without endbars. $56 a pack..... The batteries I am selling come with end bars.

Its not so much about the capacity with the EnerGs as it is the INSANE amount of power that they put out. Got 3 extra mph from my Rustler with the VXL setup with one of those 6 cell packs compared to a Duratrax 3600 pack that I had been using before. Compared the same two packs in my Slash, the difference is night and day. If I had a decent video camera I'd make a vid and show you. They will run nearly as long as any 5000 mah pack and put out more power all the while.

edit: Yes that 7 cell hump pack will fit.
I get around 25 minutes of run time out of mine.
