save up a little more and get the vxl, the difference will be night and day, and you wont regret it. Also, the 1/16 revo is much more popular than the slash, it get's better traction and pops wheelies and what not.

Any vids we can use to compare the mini-Revo to the CRT.5?

The CRT.5 first time on the track (with a modified T4 body just for drivetrain testing):

Now, it has a proper body on it, will look for a pic.

Not many 1/16 trucks are going to handle snow well. Even 1/8 MT's or truggies with paddle tires have trouble with loose snow.

If you're looking for a cheap, durable 4wd car for snow bashing, I'd recommend the HBX Bonzer. There is a huge thread about the Bonzer and many of us have used them in snow.

the tamiya df 02 is a nice little $100-120 buggy you can easily convert to a truck body and tires but I will second the part about rc cars not going very good in the snow, more than a couple inches and only the snowmobiles and blizzards really work great IMO.

Ditto. Don't know how much you want to drive in the snow, but a Kyosho Blizzard is going to be hands-down the best. For a general purpose truck, a Dual Hunter/Twin Detonator might be a good choice too.

Clods work good in snow, (of course not as good as a Kyosho Blizzard)
just watch your throttle controll in the loose stuff
