Default Clodbuster turned stadium truck

Bought a Tamiya s10 4x4 for 20.00,and the guy had a Clodbuster body also,so I modified the clod to fit.The wheelbase is not exact but will do for now..Alot of cutting, and this is what I ended up with...I know its not perfect, but it is my first try..Will paint it vintage later..

I cut about a 1/2 out of the nose to move it back where it stuck out so far ,and glued it back on.Now it looks alot better..I like the solid plastic body alot better, and I will go for the old school desert racing truck look..Will proably fabricate a roll cage and build the air scoop boxes on the back plus add a spare tire...I am a airplane guy,but love these old rc trucks...Next project will be a Grasshopper,my first rc car from the 80's....

And she is finished, except for stickers, made a interior, full roll cage on the inside, and the back, plus a tire rack...and made the front push bar, plus paint...Now just to run her,not bad for 20.00...

The truck almost looks scale.........................pretty darn close. You should take some close up pics from low down on dirt with trees in the background, it would look scale. Heres examples of low down shots of two of mine that look almost like full size vehicles in my opinion:

Thanks for the comment's I will try have to try that...I am happy with the way it turned out,was not sure after all the cutting, still need to find me a spare tire...lol,

I spent alot of time looking at pics on the web,And beleive it or not was thanking of lopping the roof off and building a rollbar, and wing on top...but did not want to go to that extreme...

Your cars look great, but will take your advice and try and shoot it that,way...

It is all stock, except it has fullbearings, running a 1500,7.2 battery for now,has the stock brushed motor. This truck was in excellent shape when I got it,just dusty,The chassis is the ta02 ,4x4,it came with a futaba esc and reciver.

The next thing I will have going is a Super Shot,I won off of ebay, and I am going to build a scratch trailer,to pull behind this truck with the buggy on it

Here are some pics of the chassia as requested..

Thanks for the reply's,If it is not to cold will try to go to the beach this weekend for some photo shots..Thats about as close to the desert as I can get right now,

Went to the local hobby shop today to see if they had any tires close to what I have for my spare on the rear, and the guy behind the counter was like"What kind of truck is that?"I laughed and told him a old tamiya, with a clod body...Got quite a few comment's there...It is not in the class with the new truck's but suits me...lol,it's kinda old like me....

Woul love to find a old Blackfoot,or king blackfoot to do this same transformation on...One day, those truck seem to go for a high price on the bay...I am liking this more than planes now....

I'm certainly not suggesting to put it on ebay, but it would get some good action and suprise you at how much $$ it would bring.[X(]

I just dont have the heart,to much time, and well no money in it made everything on it from around the house, but who knows..I might trade it later down the road,I have the orginal box,and body plus leftover spare parts...If my wife knew it would bring a few bucks she would be encouraging me to sell...
