RE: Kyosho Ultima DB Buggy
I'm not personally a fan of the retro styling, but it is nice to know that somebody is still taking the time to design stuff that isn't just another SC or stadium truck.

I personally love the styling. It's about time someone makes a buggy that LOOKS like a true buggy. There is only one problem with this as far as I can tell. Parts support in my area is almost non-existent so if you break something it might be hard to get it fixed.

RE: Kyosho Ultima DB Buggy
It's a Kyosho SC truck with a buggy rollcage and shell on it. The Kyosho is widely considered the best handling 2wd short course truck on the market, so that's not a bad thing. However it is not particularly durable, word is the stock electronics, shocks and axles are junk. Perhaps the best option would be to get the SC-R version of the short course truck (a performance orientated kit, comes with CVDs, Velvet shocks and no electronics, think Blitz ESE) and retro fit the body mounts and cage, that would make an awesomely trick desert buggy.

OK so I do actually like the "realistic" body style better than than the typical R/C buggy...but all of these realistic buggys have been more retro style. Modern desert buggies don't really look like that; they are kinda boxy(ish) and mostly fairly ugly looking. When are we going to see r/c buggies that look like actual modern buggies?
