Looks awesome LB!

I just don't get it though..... Over a 100 pages here showing how awesome the Clod is..... And still people here try shoot them down as not fast enough/fun enough/capable enough [:@][:@]

These people are 1 dimensional. They've also probably never driven one. For some, if it doesn't go super fast or have whatever type of suspension, etc. They just close their minds. Let them go.

I am in a build thread for the new re-re Fire Dragon that I just orderd, and someone said that it doesn't look like a hobby grade RC. They could not be more wrong, but everyone has their own opionion.

How deep is that water? Just wondering if it's driving on land or really floating?

I don't think I'd feel comfortable running such a big truck without servo saver! [X(] (unless it is a crawler!)

cornel4web 04-08-2008 04:02 PM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

really strange there is no saver mounted...hmmm....

hey, LB, can you give me some details about the ESP lift kit from your clod? i have to make some, becouse my steering arms are hitting the upper deck...:D thanks

Lunchboxer 04-08-2008 04:15 PM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

It is really just 4 pieces of aluminum that extends the shock mount lower by 1" or so. This allows me to run the regular 4" (or 3.8" or whatever) oil shocks.. as the stock friction shocks are longer than that!

They also serve as a shock mount brace.. (linking the 2 holes together) So should improve the durability a little bit, although I don't think cracking the Clod chassis is really a problem... :D

I got them from Tower.. they are like $12? Forgot...

cornel4web 04-08-2008 05:23 PM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

thanks...I use big bore shocks, but never compared to stock one for lenght...[:-]
I will make a kit lift as future Clod project:D

Lunchboxer 04-08-2008 05:35 PM

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

Yeah, they are cheap enough that I just bought them instead of trying to make them myself.. ha! Also, it dress up the chassis a little bit.. add a little bit of bling to it, ha!! :D
