|
RE: TANK!!!
Not really. It does look sweet though. With I could get all that stuff.
|
RE: TANK!!!
shock towers dont usualy break on rustler, insteat of the traxxas wheelie bar, get a swami-bar, they are the best u can get
u should make a roll cage |
RE: TANK!!!
dont get the traxxas wheely bar i have broke 2 allready , get the swami bar
http://www.swami-rc.com/WheelieBar.htm it cost about 2x as much but wont have to buy anymore |
RE: TANK!!!
I have a swami-bar, I love it! A roll cage would make it a real tank.:D
|
RE: TANK!!!
not a tank i mean like i want it as tough as a tank
|
RE: TANK!!!
ehh make a servo controlled turret, put like a airsoft mahine gun on it... :D
|
RE: TANK!!!
ORIGINAL: brushlessboy16 ehh make a servo controlled turret, put like a airsoft mahine gun on it... :D |
RE: TANK!!!
is aluminum better than the rpm?
cuz u can get aluminum shocktowers and bumbers and chassis made by Integy i think |
RE: TANK!!!
Things that are prone to impact like a arms, wheely bars, c hubs, and bumpers are best left plastic. Aluminum is great for things like transmission cases, bulkheads, tie rods, shock towers, ect.

RE: TANK!!!
ORIGINAL: Combine not a tank i mean like i want it as tough as a tank Then you mean "figuratively" not "literally". To *literally* turn your Rustler into a tank would mean adding treads, a gun turret, some armor, etc. -T- |
RE: TANK!!!
a roll cage would be a great idea to toughen your truck up. It will stiffen the chassis, and make it impervious to crashes.

RE: TANK!!!
no the nitro rustlers have a differnt wheel base (correct me if im wrong)
make ur own, its not that hard |
RE: TANK!!!
ORIGINAL: Combine http://www.vgracing.com/vgracing_est...products_id=35 please tell me this will fit!! |
RE: TANK!!!
^^^ they wont fit
|
RE: TANK!!!
make your own????
|
RE: TANK!!!
|
RE: TANK!!!
neither integy parts have no stuctural integrity at all, your better off sticking to the stock plastic peice becuz it will flex when impacted instead of breaking.
|
RE: TANK!!!
anygood aluminum u know of??
|
RE: TANK!!!
u dont need aluminum!
|
RE: TANK!!!

|
RE: TANK!!!

RE: TANK!!!

|
RE: TANK!!!

|
RE: TANK!!!

|
RE: TANK!!!
i knew that..lol
|
RE: TANK!!!
Kid, dont hop stuff up if you dont need to just because you think its cool. Learn about what the different parts of your RC car do, understand the vehicle, get exprienced driving it, and then reinforce whatever you feel needs to be reinforced.

RE: TANK!!!
Those rear shock towers you linked to in your first post will NOT fit an electric Rustler. Those are made for the Nitro trucks and don't attach the same way. If you look, they screw in from the front into the truck, while your e. Rustler's rear shock tower screws in from above into the chassis/transmission case.
Get the RPM shock towers if you must. Though I have not broken 1 stock plastic shock tower in 4 years of running/crashing/jumping my Rustler and Bandit. They are too flexible and just bend rather than break. ;) As suggested, RPM front bumPer, maybe RPM front and/or rear a-arms (never broke mine, except the hinge area when crashing into a pole, which will break any plastic arm). I would suggest the aluminum shock caps for your stock shocks. The plastic ones can leak and can pop off after a hard landing, as mine have at least once, or break off the top section where the screw goes in from landing hard upside down... |
RE: TANK!!!
Yeah Do basic mods to the truck and uprage others when they break.
here is really what u need. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXSGZ3&P= http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXSHA2&P=0 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPRE9&P=0 |
