futaba 3pm fasst 2.4ghz owners, problem
 
i recently received my radio system, and the receiver wire does not look right. what is that extra piece sticking out? is that normal?

btw, this is my first 2.4ghz radio.

how about the play on the steering wheel on the transmitter. I can pull it out and push it in. kinda wierd?

Well, if all that's normal I'm glad I bought the non normal one:D:D I have no play what so ever in steering wheel on the transmitter and I dont have that odd looking extra piece hanging off the receiver antenna.

You must have got the older one. Mine has no play. However, it does have that extra piece on the antenna. Right in the manual it says it should have it, so I'm not worried. ;)

That extra piece sticking out of the Coax cable is the antenna. The 2.4 receivers have a length of coax (Grey part) followed by the antenna (Clear Part).

I have no slop in my wheel but I do have the antenna piece like it should be.
