Instead of posting a fast reply, click "post reply" on the bottom left of the blue bar with the page numbers. A reply box like this will pop up, but at the bottom it will say "click here to upload photos or files" or something like that.

I was wondering where the cheapest place I can buy a TT01 or TT01D or TT01R or whatever (gonna be used to drift with ABS tires) Is. So far I found rocousa.com which has them for as low as $88
I dont care used or not, but I've been looking for ~ a week and am just wondering if rocousa is the cheapest I'll find. Also willing for another tamiya kit like TAxx or TLxx or TBxx, whatever can get me drifting.

rcmart.com is real cheap its in hong kong tho. I ordered my from towerhobbies.com a few days ago and their prices were not too bad. They had the charger I wanted in stock tho so I ordered from them instead of rcmart.

yeah, all the ebay places are inhong kong too with 40$ shipping charges and a 6-8week delivery frame, thats insane.
RCMart is a no go, the prices are good, but adding the 40$ shipping makes it cheaper at tower.

last night i put electric tape on my tires.......my car going sideways,and electric tape doesn't wear to quick...RCluke is right....5 packs

well in fact i got 2
a mr4tc from yokomo and i tt-01
the one you see with out the body it's the mr4tc
the rx-7 it's the tt-01, the kit had the leds included!

nice video! thats a neat idea never thought of covering the tires with grease. Doesn't it just rub off really quickly?

I took our car to local skate park and ran it in the skate bowl what a bunch of FUN will get some video footage and post it soon, should have taken the spoiler off, it was the only thing that broke[&o] and i gave it a realy hard time. seeing it do 180's at the top of the bowls face was mad and hugging the bowls wall heaps of fun. Also getting some big air had all the kids at the skate park amused.
The car is running bearings-shaft-heat sink-23/58 gearing, alloy motor mount, standard motor, home made foam inserts. alloy front stub axles and drifts on standard tyres with a bit of grease or old engine oil on the tyres it's great fun.

kind of difficult to explain but essantial power is only transmitted to the wheels when the car is going forward. There are one way bearings like on a nitro car starter. power is provided when the shaft is spinning the right way. When you break, theres no force from the front wheels so your braking is only done by the back wheels.
its an upgrade to improve handling but you really need to be an advanced driver to use it. you need a really good braking and throttle fingers. other than racing situations i highly don't recommend using it.

Your right it dosent last that long but it's fun because you can get good drive and then hang it hard at a faster top speed, noticed it lasted longer on rougher road than smoother road, I'd say it's got a better contact patch on the smoother road so where's off faster also rubber grease lasted longer than a high quality automotive ball joint grease, the rubber grease soaked into the tyres better leaving them slippery for longer. Going to try soaking them in Amorall next.
I have just got some new Proline rims and some 2" pipe and made some full time drift wheels up, Only problem was I got 26mm rims and they are not a good fit in the 2" pipe they dont run true distort the pipe a smidgen and make it slightly oval its a minor gliche still work ok there's no comparison to rubber tyres, I should have got 24mm rims and they would have fitted in the pipe better, not to worry next set will be 24mm they only cost me $16.50au and genuine tamiya wheels are $19.50au so when these are destroyed then I'll replace them. Will save up and try some proper drift tyres, still got a lot of fun to be had with this combo anyway.

Need a bit more sleep thats my excuse lol, just relised 24 mm is width not diameter, felling real bright at the moment "not", I gather that the majority of 1/10 RC wheels have a 52mm diameter so all would fit the 2" pipe in same way, should measure before I post only got the ruler out after I posted mmmm bright spark lol.
