Help!!! Anyone out there got a TT01D or TT01R? I just painted up a new body for my R, and I seem to have lost one of the body posts I didn' need for my old body. Anybody wanna sell me one? I need the wacky one from the B parts ([link]http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=51217[/link] upper left hand corner of this pic) that moves the post bacl behind the centerling of the rear axle. If you currently are running a sedan style body or the Carrara GT or something you don't need it, if you are running a hatchback like my Focus WRC you need yours! I don't like to think myself such a cheapskate, but spending $20 on a whole bag of parts just for one body post seems a bit extreme to me, lol.

Thanks!

you can use it a 9.6V, be aware of your temp after you bash, if you overheat you will burn out the esc. to be safe read the manual not all esc can take the heat

Hey hey. Hope everyone is doing well. I was just wondering what size the standard TT01D body is. I tried looking online, but everything was just telling me the thickness of the polycarbonate. Is it a 190mm or 200mm?

Standard TT01 is 190mm. You can use 200m with 50808 Long Wheel axle and the thick hex wheel spacers you likely have in your parts bucket if you have ever built a Tamiya before as they seem to include a couple on random sprues in about every kit I have ever built. But for some reason make you buy the axles seperate. Might want to add +2mm offset wheels to the mix too. There are +6 offset availible which solve this problem too, but they can look funny depending on which body you go with.

You can use both 190 or 200mm. Stock is 190mm but im running a HPI 200mm porshe with a 6mm offset wheel. It hugs the wheels nicely and looks awsome.

i use broken bodies i find of other racers at the track that i regularly visit just to have a look at all the bodies i might be able to get just by asking their respective owners, they take pity on me and give me free $50 bodies, its really great. however tires are hard to find there since they only give me old ones that they don't want( what cheapskates!)

It's time to get a new body for my drifter. Never had to buy a body by itself before, and wasn't sure what to look for. The ones that come with the TT01D rtr kits are really kind of brittle. Not that great. Now I have to go through all the pictures around and try to find a body style that isn't the norm. EVERYBODY has skylines and whatnot around here. Need something a little different. Thanks for the info though. I think I am going to go with the wider body and offsets. Which do you think would be better on a 200? 6mm or 9mm? Anyone have pictures to look at to compare sideby side?

Try looking at HPI bodys or proline bodys they both have really good bodys. As for size personaly i like 200mm with an offset wheel. I know on HPI site it will tell you what offset wheel you will need for a 190mm car. Good luck with your search, keep us posted on what you get!

I will do that. I'll have to see if I can get a good pic of the shape my current RX-7 body is in. Tons of hot glue and gorrilla glue holding the front end together, and built up inside trying to give a bit of stability to it. Knocked of a few chunks while learning to actually control it in close quarters. I hit many a wall...

What would be a fair selling price for a lightly used stock TT-01 fully built with original ESC but no motor? 2004 Raybrig NSX finished body.

That much, really?! I would have thought less considering you can get a NIB kit (with motor) for about that same price. Good to know.

I think after almost 2yrs with running my TT01s spur is about to take a back seat, I expected it to happen sooner with that 3.5 in it but wow 2yrs and thats almost every weekend, so I replaced both spun and pinion

why do people say not to run any lower than a 15 or 13 turn motor in tt-01? i have full bearing set, and alloy shaft and i run a 3300KV brushless motor on 4S lipo 14.8volts no problems.. i just maintan the bevel diffs with new tamiya grease every month . its good for atleast 70kmph
