RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
Guys, I have installed 3racing diffs in my TT01d. What is the best option of shafts that i can use without any mods. Also i need to get an alloy steering setup, I was going for the GPM but I see RCMart are out of stock and this is where I have been buying the bulk of my TT01 gear but it neds to come complete with bearings.
Any advise is much appreciated
Cheers

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
just got a TT a month ago, always wanted a fast RC car, but gas seemed to be the only option for speed when i was young, 30 now, gas was not attainable, but now electric is FAST! going to drop in an HPI saturn 20t and was wondering the gear ratios that would work with it, i am looking for good bash around speed. p.s i have read through 122 pages. thanks.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
nicely done. i have an associated TC5 and a TT01 just got an LRP 8.5T vector X12 motor and an LRP SPHERE TC ESC for my TC5 reckon my tt01 would handle it if i starpped it in there?

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
so i accidently plugged in my battery directly to my ESC output (to the motor) rather than the input. did i ruin my ESC and/or motor?
thanks so much in advance.

superstock RZ 23T
associated A.I. quantum runner reverse ESC
intellect 4600 battery pack
deans plugs all around, the LED is still illuminated.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
Hi guys,
I just bought a TT-01 that's nearly new build. Seem to have one driveshaft that's a bit wobbly. The other three are pretty solid but this one is up front so might make the steering a bit sloppy. Anything common issues here?
Is the alu propshaft worth getting? What sort of a difference does it make?
Thx

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
get it! after the bearing set, the aluminium drive shaft is one of the top upgrades, plus it looks spiffy! read as much of this forum as possible, it has so much knowledge in it

Not necessarily, you did get a receiver with it which you may want to change eventually. You will definitely want to upgrade to ball bearings all around and get ride of the plastic motor mount for the metal one and upgrade to the aluminum drive shaft option. Anything else beyond that will be dependent on if you want to race or drift.
