Ah, yeah, the one on the right...

Hitec HS-81MG micro servo will do the steering duty... 60 degrees in 0.09 second at 6V and metal gear?! That's really good spec.. in general I'd stick w/ Futaba, but this seems to be too good to be true, so I figured that I'd give it a try!!

You can always make it fit, just need to use a different way to secure the battery, that's all..

I think 4-cell on a pan-car is plenty, though.. it is gonna be hard to control as is!! 8,000kv! LOL!

Whoa. That's unexpected. You will have a nice time on carpet or a clean track. No bashing for this puppy

Not that extreme. It's only on 4.8 volts.

You can get metal pinions to fit on the Mamba Motor, no problem. I run a metal pinion in my Mini-T Pro, in place of the crappy plastic one.

You should see if you can find some Lipo's to put in that thing... 2 Packs, one on either side... Then you could run 7.4v and have the 2 packs in series.

8000kv motor is ridiculous on 7.4v (in my opinion) it's just TOO fast. I think 4.8-5.0v is going to be a nice place for that motor

You should buy a dev kit of the A123 cells and make you two 2s saddle packs. Run 6.6v Li-ion instead of 4.8 nimh's, or make two 2s2p packs if two A123's will fit on each side.
