Hi There,
I lashed out and bought an F201 on the weekend so I cannot wait for it to arrive.
Does anyone have any "how to build" threads / information on specific things to do through the build in addition to what's in the manual? Sometimes people work out that there are little tricks along the way.
Also, if anyone has links to F201 specific resources I'd appreciate them.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks - I see you have 7 F201's so I am pretty sure you will be able to answer any question I might have!
I will read through the thread tonight.
Cheers

Looks great. I've been checking this thread for a while now, I wouldnt mind having one of these kits, but it would be strictly for racing.
And we dont have a class like this yet, but we have been running touring cars on the go cart track here, just not racing yet.
One of my tracks near me has just built a dirt oval though, that's sounds interesting.
I guess I like the realistic look of tamiya's, cant go wrong.

This sounds like a really slack question but can anyone point me in the right direction of a cheap and reasonable ESC?
I figure forward and reverse and down to about 12 turns and it's got to fit on a F201?
If I ever put a brushless in my F201 I'll buy a ESC / motor combo so I just want something that I can switch between cars that will do a reasonable job.
Thanks.

Has anyone by any chance got the December 2003 issue of "Radio Control Car Racer"?
It has an article in it about a hoped up Tamiya F1 so I was trying to track down a scanned copy for my collection.
Thanks

Looks like a new Tamiya F1 is on the way! It's called an F104 PRO. Here are a few links with pictures:

More great news! This time from HPI. Looks like they will also be releasing a 1/10 2wd F1 in the near future. Damn, I really hope this class becomes popular again - a company like HPI certainly has the potential to make it.

RE: 1/10 RC Formula 1 Cars...lets see'em
I just added a new car to my collection, which is my first F1 car. It is a Corally F1 GRP (the old one). Anyone have any info on these, such as set up tips or anything really? I can't seem to find much on them. It came with a 27t stock motor made by Corally, stock everything. I honestly don't think this thing has ever even been ran before. It also did not come with a center shock, but by reading the manual it was not supposed to come with one. What advantage would I get from upgrading to a center shock?

It took some time but here are my first F103 bild's and the "C" chassis with the C11 finish body (thank you Tamiya), to be honest I love bulding the chassis and racing them but I don't even begin to like doing the lexan body's . Well here are the first tree: two Ferraris and a aspirational Delphi F1. Some crazy ideas, instead of taping down the battery I used standard long rubbers. I ruined the big FIAT decals for the #2 and missing some Shell and Auspray for the #5. So If anybody has some please PM. Thanks Vyger, rcluke, drevil and everybody that help in the forum

News from the Long Beach Grand Prix (I being your humble reporter, took the photos and talked to the Tamiya executives that gave me the Info.)
Tamiya and HPI booth at the life style expo.
It's Confirmed! The F104 it's a reality and will make it's debut at the Japan fair this year, it will come whit the 2009 F1 body, so start saving
Here are some photos of the HPI F1 electric 1/10, it has the 2008 F1 body.

Great pictures, HeliYogi! Nice work on the F1's. Really cool that you were present at the Long Beach Grand Prix. I usually make it to the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, but they've never had any cool R/C events to my knowledge.

Somthing I don't understand is why Tamiya, having all this licenses from Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, can't produce more F1 Body sets. One Tamiya executive told me that they never expected such a big demmand for this chassis. I Hope that's it and we have more "toys" to play whit in the near future.
Cheers
