Default What is this?

I recently won this car in a parts lot off of ebay. Most of the stuff was RC10 Gold Pan, but this was also included. I don't know if it's an RC12L or what. It doesn't look like an Associated product, but I'm not familiar with the on road stuff really and I suppose could be an old one. Someone, please, tell me what I own!!!! Oh, both of the bodies that came with it look like Le Mans P1 or P2(prototype class) racing cars, but I have no idea if one of them is the original body or not.

Sorry about the picture size. I don't know why they're so big and I don't know how to resize them.

I don't know what the car is but can tell you that you can resize them in windows paint... Just go to IMAGE > Resize/skew, then put the percentage of the original size you want in both vertical and horizontal.

Bummer. I'd like to know what it is before I fix it up and start driving it. Even though it looks rough now, it's actually in pretty decent condition and just needs a little TLC. Do I have to resize them in paint and then reload them? I would assume once they're posted they have to be deleted, resized, and reposted.

Ya you'd have to resize then remove the current ones and reload the new ones. usually you want to keep pics to 800x600 at 72dpi at most. this keeps the files small and will fit on any screen.

I could not get the pic to open all the way but it looks like one of the old Delta 1/12 racers with the gear diff. I thought it may be a TRC but the rear pod is just like mine. Are you ready for this? Put an Associated rear axle and wheels on it and go like stink! These cars were and still are very fast even against the new stuff. Mine still get's an A main finish most of the time.

Are Delta and TRC the brand names(like AE or Losi) or model names? Can I still get parts for this thing? How old is it actually? Thanks for the help![8D]

Delta and TRC were the brands. Its a shame they don't make them anymore Those were top of the line racers back then in the late '70's and early '80's. As for parts use the modern rear axles form Associated or any brand with the same axle size which should be all of them. (except old Corally's and Kyosho's)Watch for another chassis on ebay or something. The frame is very strong but it is old so a spare would not hurt. The screws are common to the 12L. You will not hurt the front axle beam and 12L steering bocks fit them. Now sic'em! People hate it when they get beat by old iron!

Sweet! As you can tell by my sig I'm only really into old RC's. I find lots(not all) of the new ones to be too chincy and weak. Old stuff can still consistently beat new stuff and that is just amazing, so much for progress. Any info you have on what this may be I would really appreciate!!!!! I tried googling Delta RC, but got nothing.[&o]

I thought it might be a really old RC12L, but it's not. I checked them out and they're different. Apparently it's a Delta something.

Does anyone have any links or information about Delta cars? I can't find anything on google, and ebay has nothing except for a generic bearing set. I would like to get some decent information and history on what I have here. As the great Johnny No. 5 said, "Need input!"

In case anyone cares. I was able to locate Delta online and they still make a SICK pan car(they also make some sweet stuff for guns too)!!! I emailed them the pictures so hopefully they can tell me what model this thing is, how old it is, and what body it originally came with. I'll let you guys know the info if anyone is interested.
