Default HPI Sprint 2 Drift Belt Change HELP!!!

Hello,

I smoked the rear drive belt to my drifter and now I need to replace the belt and rear diff case. I just can't seem to get the rear belt holder out of the frame. Does anybody have any advise? I can see that there is a pin holding it in but i can't move the belt gear to get the pin out.

Thanks,

Is not easy but the whole rear end has to come apart. You have to take the spur off and the plate behind it. Like i said the whole rear end. Best advise is to start taking screws out lol.

I have everything apart except the rear belt gear. I just can't shake it loose. I was able to take off the long belt gear. I know that there is a pin keeping it in place but i just can't get it off. I took the spur gear off but that didn't help. I did notice a VERY small hole on the spur gear holder...not sure if that has anything to do with it. I don't have a allen wrench small enough to touch it. Grahhh

i was thinking on getting one of these but i see they are trouble to change parts, is it really that difficult? if so i will stay away. I want something easy to maintain. Was the DVD that came with it helpful?

dvd was crap great if you have a nitro but nothing to really do with battery power or belt which this car is. on the other hand this is basic work to the car unless you want a toy car i would start learning its not hard .
