RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

haha not really, more of just dust, not enough weight in car and frictional heat to cause them to smoke. but my tires do explode!:D
runnign a mamba and a 380C6L. this motors usually recommended for 1/10 stadium trucks and buggys due to the longer magnet producing more torque. But my RC10T2 is retired so I put the system into the tt-01. its geared up but theres still enough torque to get all 4 tires spinning

do your tires really smoke? what kind of engine are you running mindwreck??

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

i posted my cars/ bodies on the previous page(#130). I mostly just drive and bash around parking lots and on sidewalks and sliding around obstacles. if your jsut drifting on abs or pvc tubing you don't really need a faster motor. They just dont have enough friction.

Tamiya type D drift tires,today i look for abs pipe(i have another set of rims to fit abs on it).

mariusml1972 08-28-2007 12:58 AM

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

Cornel tried electrical tape on slick tires(on ta-04,but i think,his ta-04 is not geared for drift),drift well,....but i think abs pipe is much better.....we will see.

sanshu 08-28-2007 01:34 AM

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

what do you use for cutting the pipe?

mariusml1972 08-28-2007 01:43 AM

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

I cruise around parking lots, practice drifting. I'm starting to get it down better. I recently installed a Venom racing 17t motor, and it's pretty fun. I have some drift tires and some grippy tires too. If I knew anyone else besides my college counselor, whom builds RC cars, I'd love to race and stuff, but until then, it's just something to do! I'm always buying upgrades, hop ups, new tires, rims, whatever else I can find to make them better. :}
