Default Flight sim on a budget

I am looking for a rc flight simulator without breaking the bank. Is there such a thing as a good sim with controller for under $100.00.

Thanks,
Budman

-Realflight Basic is under 100, but is limited in what you can add to it. (nothing)

-Ikarus has several inexpensive versions of their simulator, such as Easy Fly, but I have no experience with it. It looks pretty good, though.

-You should also be able to find a copy of FS One for a good price. It is pretty good

-Personally, I'd try to find a copy of Phoenix as cheaply as possible. It is really fantastic, better than Realflight in my opinion.

Hope this helps!

Graeme

Thanks, I didn't know that real flight had a basic model. I thought the 5.5 was the only one. The basic is just what i was looking for.

You might try Clear View RC Sim. With a highspeed internet connection you could download a trial version which shows you a few helicopter and airplane examples. Also some "movie" demos of a couple of models. To fully activate it and keep it is $40, get a connection chord $10 +/- and one of your transmitters or a dummy (Cost for that???)..........

Or buy a used one, but you need to be careful in getting activation numbers and with RealFlight the former owner's de-registration from their "corporate headquarters".

How does free sound? The FMS simulator is a free download and with a cheap controller it is real reasonable. The basics are fine but you will advance quickly so you will outgrow it soon. If you dont like it erase it on your computer and then buy one.

Thanks for the reply. I have got the FMS sim. It worked great on my old laptop that had windows xp. The computer I have now has windows vista 64 bit. I cant get it to work. I have tried every version that they have out but no go. I have done searches and it looks like everyone with 64 bit OS is complaining that it wont work. I did download the clearview sim and it did work great with my FMS controller. Only bad thing is the demo didn't last long. I think if I don't get a sim for Christmas I will buy the clearview. $39.00 seems like a good deal. Thanks.
