It's listed in the main selection in text, but plane does not exist to use. So i want it deleted from my selections. This was a swap file off of realflight web site.

OK, now I understand what you're trying to do. Sorry, I can't help you with that one, I have the same problem with two aircraft like that. I just ignore them.

Find the files in your "My Documents\RealflightG4 folder those downloads installed and delete them.
Then remove the same entries in the "realflight.ini" and start the sim.
If you still see an error, you missed a file. Usually the missing file is displayed in the error message.
Later versions of Realflight prevent you from installing variants for planes you do not have installed.

Because of the different types of files that are available, which in turn must interact...
You have definitions for Colorschemes, Aircraft Variants, EA's ( entire aircraft), etc.
Normally the plane installer will warn you and prevent the installation of colorschemes and variants that you do not have the base aircraft for. However given the rather random naming used by people creating their own aircraft. the program can be fooled.
If you then in turn go and try to remove the files, and miss one, or do not remove the entry in Realflight.ini, you may continue to receive the error.
After all files are removed ( which you've obviously done correctly ) the realflight.ini entry can still remain behind until the next time the user created respository is rescanned. That may happen when you add a plane, variant, or colorscheme later. The entries in the .INI file are rebuilt.
The end effect is exactly what you've seen, the error appears to go away by itself.

I probably have been deleting aircraft the wrong way. I did not think of a right click in the aircraft select list. I chose to use the Windows Explorer. I have RF G5.5 and it put a directory Realflight G5 in your My Documents. Click on the directory, then Vehicles and you will find a "Custom Models" directory and look for the name of the plane you want to delete. I have done this to get rid of unwanted planes.
When I restart it is gone!
There may be better ways put it works for so I do it that way.

Built into Realflight is a "manager" for aircraft, etc....
You should delete variants, colorscheme, aircraft using that instead.
It tries to clean things up properly.
