I just bought a new laptop, and would like to load my G2 onto it. Am I right in assuming that I'll need to upgrade from my older printer port version to the newer USB interlink? The older version works fine, on my desktop PC, but will not work on laptop, without a gameport. Thanks guys

you can buy a gameport to USB adapter from radio shack... this works.. its what i use

I use the gameport type controller with the USB adaptor from Radio Shack on my desktop.

However, if you read around on here, many laptops will not work with RF. It's something about the LCD type screen as well as the video card?

I have RF-G2 installed on my IBM Thinkpad T-30. It works very well, and I'm using the printer-port-based interface.

I've got RF on my laptop and it runs pretty good. I had to tone down a lot of the 3d graphic stuff, but it runs and I can take my RF on the road with me...

I also have G2 on my laptop. It runs fine except for some of the detail and the grass is all white so it looks like I am flying in snow, but other than that it works great!

I have a Thinkpad A31 and RF works great. I did not have to lower any settings.
