Has anyone attempted to use the controller from aerochopper on the new G2 software via the USB using a USB to Serial conversion cable???????? If so how did it work???
Nevermind. I will continue running rcaerochopper on the old 233mhz machine and put g2 on the new smoking 2.6ghz machine and I will practice with one in my left hand and the other in my right hand.

twindaddy_1, anybody
Just curious if you've learned anything else or ever tried to run AeroChopper on Xp? I have RC AeroChopper version 2.0 (about 10 yrs old). I'm finding it won't run on Windows XP, do you know of anybody who has ?
Don't have G2 or know much about it, since newer I assume it's much better than AeroChopper (but quite frankly I was happy with AeroChopper, just trying to teach my kids now is all). Thanks Much.

My RC Aerochopper is probably the first version, and it does run under DOS on 80386 and 80486 machines, but not on Pentium systems.
Does version 2.0 run on Pentium systems ?

Hi,
I have not been able to get it to run under WinXP, but if you boot from a dos boot disk you will be able to run Aerochopper. Sound drivers will have to be configured to load if sound is desired.
Happy Landings.
Sincerely
Driftair

I didn't try under XP, but version 2.0 runs under Win98 on a Cyrix 150+. I just had to stop PC speaker sound by typing *.
