Default help.....new AFP freezing

I need help to figure this out. I just got AFP and most of the time I can't get past the radio calibration and my screen freezes. I have a celeron 800 MHz, 384 MB ram, 64 MB GeForce 2 MX 400 and am using my hitec transmitter.I unistalled it and reinstalled but same thing.

Did you go to the IkarusUSA site and download the latest version. That's the first thing everyone should do. Then start from there.

Thanks Joe , but I just got done downloading latest version. While I'm sitting reading the manual on radio setup everything freezes. I may be sending this sim back.I think a reputable company should have a 800 #.

At least good email support. I have one outstanding issue with them that I have never heard back on, but on the other hand the software is running good on my computer. Have you updated your video drivers? www.nvidia.com. This can solve a host of problems. You also might want to update your sound card drivers also. Try video first then go from there.

Default Updates...

I had a similar problem after updating. I can't tell you why, but only until I did each update in order, 164, 166 and then 168 did the program work properly. Logic would dictate loading the latest update right? NOT!
I'm used to NT where the latest update includes all of the previous ones. May not be your problem, but it's worth a try. Let me know_bob

I don't know if this is related to your issue, but when my JR transmitter is on (I'm using the serial cable), the calibration screen would freak out. When the transmitter is switched off, everything would work fine. I finally figured out that the transmitter doesn't need to be on to fly the planes in AFP.
