My 9CAP radio won't work until the adapter is available, and I got rid of all my older radios. I'm wondering...if I pick up a cheapo radio on eBay, without TX module, will it work as strictly a Real Flight "computer" controller?

I have flown G2 with a 7UAP, without a module in it - it bypasses the RF section anyway, serves as the "trainees" radio, instead of the instructors...I always have the module out of my "buddy box" for the "trainee" as well...keeps them from inadvertently turning on, and upsetting anyone, in any way....

That should work out just fine. I remove the TX module from my JR 783 when using it with RF. Extends battery life, and is better for the transmitter when the antenna is collapsed.
