hey everyone, i wanna get realflight g2 w/usb. now, my computer meets all the requirements for it, but hey ya never know right?
so i gotta:

hp pavilion 550n
1.47 ghz
512 mb ram
60 gb hd
and a S3 Graphics Pro Savage 32 MB card

all this is runnin under windows XP

what do u think?

Do a search on real flight. I believe someone may have had problems running under XP, but was able to solve them.

Should run fine, BUT to be safe check your video card at www.knifeedge.com to see if your card has any problems. As far as RF and XP i was up and running in 10 min. with NO problems. Lee

The video card is pretty slow. Even if it has a decent driver (S3, which was acquired by VIA, probably, doesn't support this chip any longer), it's so slow, that you'll get rather slow FPS.
Upgradeing to a decent GeForce2-class card will improve the performance 100x.
Take a look at refurbished section of www.newegg.com . I've bought a zippy GeForce2 GTS card for $49.

hey again, i have been researching my video card, and its a S3 Graphics Pro Savage 32 MB
Chipset: Pro Savage KM133

this card has full support for my AMD athlon 1700+ XP processor, so it should be good right? anyways, my friends got G2, and hes gotta nvidia 8 MB and the sim runs fine, but he cant have much of the background trees and stuff in...

well,....im gonna buy g2 in a couple weeks after im outta school...thanks. bye

yeah im his buddy, ive been running a nvidia 8 MB viddy card and its fine, just cant have all that fancy background and stuff, and in my honest opinion, why would you want all that fancy stuff? I might be getting a new video card cuz my buddy sed he's got an old 32 layin around he sed he'll check and see if he cant find it for me.

i just borrowed my friend's (Airplanes RC) and everything is FINE... the only minor thing is everything is a lil dark, but hey who cares....this is awesome, im buyin it :-D
