Default Nexstar Simulator

Any one here have/used the simulator that comes with the Nexstar package? Is that the way to go, buy the package deal. Or should one buy a 'better' sim and plane, radio etc seperatly? I am new to the hobby and am looking to cooridnate my eye balls and thumbs; not to mention get used to inverted flight and when the model is flying towards vs. away. Thanks in advance for your input.

I have the reguler Real Flight sim... I would say buy the good one... I soloed for the first time this spring... I'm 41 so I'm not a kid with the playstation advantage... I used the flight SIM all last winter ( Upstate NY ) winter sucks... I was flying in no time, since then I now own 8 planes... My favs. WACO 60 biplane / GP Shoestring / WW1 Eindecker / KMP GEE BEE / GP Stuka and fly them all. The sim isn't the answer to all, but it will give you a feel for different plane and help you pic what you like. It will get you to where you don't have to think about what you are doing it will just be reaction... The trainer on the sim will get boring real fast... You will end up getting this one anyway why not get it now... I use it all the time and fly many different planes... Good Luck...

I have flown both the full version of G2 (learned to fly on it) and the NexStar edition. The NexStar version is just G2 with only one plane and airport. FWIW the Nexstar is a great trainer, and the price is not bad with the sim. It also comes with a cupon for a discount on the full version of G2.

FWIW, I think you can also use the coupon for a Real Flight Add-on disk, if you already have the full version of RF G2.
