Has anybody got this sim on their laptop i had heard that the laptops dont recognise the controller has anybody had this problem and does it only happen with certian brands ie ony or XP etc all points welcome

I use my Reflex on laptops, even the new XTR version. It uses USB that runs like that with anything from 98 to XP.

I have Dell Inspiron & AFP !

Works like a charm.

well as you probably know i pretty much started this about AFP and laptops but here goes.

i have an Advent 2.66 p4, afp doesn't recognise the tx. but it sees the interface.

also have a Tiny 1.2 athlon, same as above, sees the interface but not the tx.

plug into my xp P.C and it works no problem.

i will be getting the new acer ferrari 3000+ soon and i will try it on that and let you know if it works or not. i'm pretty convinced it's a hardware issue. it must be the way some com ports are configured on laptops. you might be lucky and it will work on yours.


btw both laptops use xp home or pro
