Have tried a few flight sims which won't run on my pc. Have got preflight to run but it's not very good. Know of any which offer a trial download to see if it works?

I use FMS(Flying Model Simulator), which is freeware. No, its not the ultimate sim, but it has great graphics and scenery, many add-on helis and planes, great slope soaring also. Do a search under FMS r/c simulator and give it a try while you are evaluating others

I have FMS but can't get it to recognise my Tx. I've tried using the dedicated cable I got the FMS with, which connects to LPT1 and with a cable to the mic socket (which works with a program PreFlight) and tried using the SmartPropo add-on software. But no luck. FMS runs using the keyboard but I need practice using the Tx.

HMMM,
I ordered a usb cable for FMS from a vendor and it has worked well. The also offered cables for serial port I think. What ports are available on your computer?
