Default not realistic

Hi, I've downloaded and tried the stick and cessna from flyingbaer.de but I find that the rudder doesn't work and the aileron tend to self-correct. Anyone facing the same problems ?...

You have to edit the information file for the plane to change the flight surface characteristics. Just randomly change the numbers until you get the control you want.

The airplane folders are stored in the fms directory. Open the corresponding folder for the plane you want to edit and there should be an .inf folder (I think this is right, I'm at work right now and don't have the folders in front of me), double click the .inf folder and it will open in notepad. The control surfaces are listed, lower the number for less control and increase the number for more control. It is kind of a random trial and error, you will have to play with it until you get the response you want. If this isn't right, post again and I will give you directions from home where I can see the folders.

Default par file

Hi mscic, I managed to open the .par file and there're 26 parameters to pick from ? Which parameter controls aileron response ? Is there a website that explains each parameter ? Thx......

Open the .par file and the following are the flight surfaces:

2. thrust of the motor in Newton's
3. Rudder movement in radians (0.8 rad =45 degrees)
4. Elevator movement in radians
5. Aileron deflection in radians

hope this helps
