Default 9c adapter for AFP

I have Aeroflight Pro and the 9c adapter and it works perfectly.

However, my question is: When I am using my 9C with the adapter, am I transmitting? Do I have to take out the module to protect my transmitter? Or put up the antenna? Does it use the 9C battery?

AFP is a great sim.

You are transmitting as long as the module is in. Best to remove the module when using the TX for the sim.

By removing the module you will find that your battery will last much much longer since you are not transmitting. Just dont be a dummy like me and forget to put it back in before you go flying. Very frustrating arriving at the feild and relising that its sitting on your computer desk 20miles away back at home.

The Futaba adapter from omp http://aeroflypro.com/purchase/ automatically disables RF circuitry to prevent module damage. No need to remove module or crystal. It also achieves longer transmitter battery life.

Listen to Rajul!! The adapter hes talking about works perfectly!! With it, you dont have to remove the module and worry about damaging the fragile pins!!

The same adapter works for all major sims i.e. AFP, Reflex, and RF

Rajul, thanks. Makes things easy. It works great, but I've been taking out the module. Now I won't. I for sure would've left it behind - a lot. (Yeh, I got this one from OMP along with AFP).

Oops, I just checked out the OMP site and sure enough it says what Rajul said. Guess I missed that.
