I have a Dell Workstation computer running Win200 and machine has no game port. How do I hook up AFP Pro?
Do I purchase a sound card with a game port or is there a USB to game port adaptor or what?
Thanks.

Im assuming you have the commander version which does utilize a game port. If this is the case, you would have to purchase a soundcard w/gameport, or buy an adapter as you have noted. Otherwise just stick with the interface (serial port) and use your own Tx.

I have a question under this "subject", but, not this thread.
I want to buy the AeroFly Professional Interface version with add on vol. 1. That one is listed at $139.95, on the AFP, purchase page.
Some of the details are confusing because they are some what generic: They list Futaba radios, as being compatible, with this AFP version.
Further down the page it states that, "my radio", Futaba 7CAF, requires a different cable, referred to as the "NEW FUTABA MICRO ADAPTER".
Does this mean that I will, also, be required to purchase this adapter cable, in lieu of, or, in addition to, the interface cable, included in the $139.95 package?
Also, is this a USB, serial, or, parallel, hook-up between radio & computer?
I am not contacting tech support, with my questions, because, I don't own the product, yet.

Bob, the adapter is required for the 7C in addition to the serial interface cable

I knew that! It never fails, I always need to buy, huh, something, "extra". Too bad there's no way to get a peak at this thing, for real, before I say, "I do". Why is this starting to feel like a "blind date"?
Thanks for the information, Rajul.

Bob, I am one of the support guys, please feel free to call us anytime with questions that you have. Or we also have a live chat button where you can talk to one of us live as well on the homepage of www.AeroFlyPro.com.

I thought the only guy, who was, capable of being everywhere, at once, was Santa Claus?
I believe I spoke to you on the "live chat" just prior to ordering, this morning, was that you? ...... & wasn't that you in my e-mail box, yesterday afternoon?
You want to hear something funny? I'm an old miser, I hate spending money. For three days I kept looking at the, AFP, order page & finding excuses not to spend any money..... then someone, (I think it was you, again) told me the shipping was free & that closed the deal.
I saved 4 bucks & I'm happy! I think I need professional help... group sessions or something.... "Hi I'm Bob, I'm stingy"....
I'm suffering withdrawal, right now, but, I'll be OK, when AFP arrives.
Thanks....

I'm having an interface problem.
I don't have external serial ports, so, I use a BAFO, brand USB to Serial adapter.
The serial adapter is correctly installed, verified by Windows XP, assigned com 4. (internal).
HP Pavilion notebook, 1.8 Ghz, 512 meg memory & an ATI/Altec sound.
AFP comes up & it takes, approximately, 30 seconds to report:
"Interface Cable"
"AeroFly Professional is unable to locate the interface cable.
Please plug the interface cable into a free com port."
I have one additional cable, an adapter for the Futaba 7.
I started out with just the cable plugged in & also tried it with the AFP adapter cable & with the radio. All configurations returned the same error message.
Since Windows can see the hardware at com: 4, (02E8h) & AFP can't see the hardware at com 4, it makes me think, AFP is looking somewhere else for the hardware?
Any suggestions?

Will AFP work with the game port version of the RealFlight G2 controller? FWIW this controller works with other flight sims like MS Flight Simulator and FMS.
Thanks,
Carl
