AFP will work if you have at least the mininmum system requirements and a 9 pin serial port. if your laptop does not have a serial (game) port, you can purchase an adapter cable for serial to usb from e-bay for at most $10 USD.

Also, make sure you have more than the minimum memory on the video card since it is shared with the monitor on laptops.

I have a Dell M60 laptop, about 1700 Mhz, with an Nvidea graphics chip with 128mb of video memory. Plays AFP great! Whatever video chip you have MUST have an OpenGL compatible driver.

Most Dells should work but you should make sure they pass all the requirements. I personally dont ave a laptop but im hoping to get one soon so thanx for the questions.
