well i got my futaba figured out just the game commander is giving me trouble, i have the aileron and rudder fixed but the engine is at full speed with the throttle stick down and the elevator is full up when the sim starts and the elevator stick is in neutral position. seems the throttle response what little there are is on the right side of the controller when trying to assign a channel the throttle and elevator channel moves together so there is no way to seperate them really starting to get upset with this controller, any help would be great mike lansford

Ok so your mode is swapped around. Your controller is either in mode 1 or 2 and sim is the other way around. Try making a new controller setup for the game commander and set it up from scratch if you've not already done this. You will have to assighn each channel to each controllable feature. What I am trying to get to is that if your elevator moves with your throttle you have the same channel assighned to them both and you need to go specify one of them differently. In other word you might have assighned the right one to elevator now but you haven't changed the throttle to the right one? Or well it could be the other way around. It's rather simple actually when you take your time to set it up. I always activate the advanced mode and look at the sliders which simulate the movement which each stick input is producing.
In short I take it one small step at a time. Go to the elevators and move my elevator up and down. If they do not move then I know the wrong stick on the radio is assighned to them. Then when I change it I check which of the sliders gets moved by moving the elevator stick and click on it. I like to simplify things for myself and seems like this has worked hassle free.

From: , MN,
I just got AFP with the commander last week. It's great.
The commander has the hardware in Mode 2 (rachet on throttle - left gimbal up/down), but transmits the signal to the PC with the throttle as the elevator, and vice-versa. This is no problem in AFP, as you can assign any of the "joystick" channels to any axis control. However, this may limit the use of the commander in any other sim, such as Microsoft Flight Simulater. Would have been nicer if the throttle (left gimbal up/down) showed up in Windows as the throttle. When I first attached the Commander to my PC, and saw that the throttle, and elevator were reversed, in the Windows calibration area, I considered rewiring the controller, but when I fired up AFP, and saw how easy it is to assign the channels, I didn't bother.
