OK I need help. Upgraded fron Nvidia TNT2 & 128K to Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 and 512K with winXP. G2 now runs slower and I get a bright white strobe light effect where dark shadows are supposed to be. I downloaded the latest direct X and downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia. I was expecting better results not worse.....any suggestions? I even reduced the resoultion to medium in the G2 program. Running PIII and 765? mhz. Thanks for any help.[sm=drowning.gif]

lol ur computer sucks plain and simple... It will never run smooth, and the problem you are having is probably because that card is way ahead of that computer, most likely not compatible with ur motherboard...

It could be your drivers
A bought a NEW Geforce FX5200 last month.
My AFP frame rate was slow
You would think, when you buy a new card it would have the latest and
Greatest drivers.
This fixed my problem

Thanks guys...actually purchased the new card for the APF program and it works fine for AFP but G2 actually worked better with the old TNT card. The G2 support indicated to me that the poor performance was most likely due to a Norton firewall and Virus program...they said to disable and then run????

ohhhhh yes, norton uses up A LOT of your computer's resources, you should close EVERYTHING before playing. Trust me, you will notice a huge difference.
