I have a RealFlight V1.20.71 with the Real Flight Transmitter Interface. I installed the program and plugged in my JR XF421. I can not get the controler to register. I went to my computer and checked and the controler is listed but can not be found.
The interface is plugged into my parallel printer port and uninstalled my scanner. My printer is connected via USB. I have a 5 year old HP Pavillion XE at 600mhz with 196 megs of ram. The program will run but the plane just runs around on the ground. Got any idea about how I can get my JR to work with the program.. tried all three modes, joystick, interface etc.
Sure would like to try the program out. Also, how come when I go to forums this one does not show up.. I found it by searching for Realflight.

You may not have Flight Simulators selected under MY FORUMS. You can add this forum to your selections, or under FORUMS at the top of the page select ALL FORUMS.

When your computer is booting (the first text screen just after you turn the power on), get to BIOS setup by hitting, depending on BIOS manufacturer, either Del or F1 key. Then, go to either Integrated Periveral or Advanced Chipset options or something like that (again, different BIOS manufacturers call it differently) and make sure that the parallel port is enebled. Then try changing the parallel port type--there should be 2 or 3 choices, something like EPP or ESP or EPP+ESP or something like that. I believe that RealFlight's parallel port interface needs some particular parallel port mode, just don't remember which one.

I have emailed with no response. Just too cheap to pay for the call I guess...LOL. If I don`t get it figured out soon I will call.. just get the impression that they are really busy with G3 issues right now so holding off on the call. Make any sense?

On the original version (not G2) there was an installation fix. I don't remember if it had anything to help your problem, but it is worth a try.
